Punjab Food Authority Training School Lahore Conducted Free Halal Training Program in April 2026
Punjab Food Authority Training School, Lahore organized a comprehensive free Halal training program (physical & online) in April 2026 for butchers, chicken shop workers and slaughterhouse staff across Lahore Division . The core objective of this initiative was to promote proper Halal practices, raise awareness about Islamic guidelines of slaughtering, and ensure the provision of hygienic, safe, and Shariah-compliant meat to the public.
Through this program, a total of 8,973 individuals were trained, equipping them with both religious knowledge and practical skills to improve overall meat safety standards and public health.

- Basic Islamic beliefs and concept of Iman
- Importance of Kalma Tayyaba and Kalma Shahadat
- Basic obligations of Ghusl
- Islamic (Halal) method of slaughtering animals
- Importance of reciting Takbeer at the time of slaughter
- Humane way of slaughter to minimize animal suffering
- Essential veins that must be cut during slaughter
- Awareness about prohibited (Haram) parts and incorrect practices
- Hygiene, safety, and precautionary measures for butchers
