Punjab Food Authority Faisalabad Conducted World Health Day Seminar on Healthy Eating Habits and Nutrition Awareness, Faisalabad
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority organized a special awareness seminar was conducted at Pak Maktab School (Model Children Home Social Welfare School) in connection with World Health Day to promote the importance of healthy eating habits and overall well-being among students on 08-04-2026. The session aimed to educate approximately 90 participants about the significance of nutrition, food safety, and hygiene in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Participants were sensitized to the role of proper dietary habits in supporting physical growth, mental development, and long-term health.
The seminar covered essential topics including balanced diet and food groups, the importance of macro and micronutrients, their sources, benefits, and the consequences of nutritional deficiencies. Discussions highlighted the value of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, along with practical breakfast and lunchbox ideas for healthier daily choices. Special emphasis was placed on avoiding junk and processed foods, maintaining proper hydration, and observing personal hygiene practices as key components of disease prevention and wellness. The session successfully encouraged participants to adopt healthier eating habits and make informed lifestyle choices for better health outcomes.
