Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur Promotes Hydration Awareness Among Students

The Nutrition Section of Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Rajanpur, under the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations Rajanpur, organized a Health Screening Camp and Nutrition Awareness Seminar at Government Primary School Raqba Nabi Shah. The session focused on the theme “Symptoms of Mild vs Severe Dehydration” and engaged 95 participants, including students and staff. The seminar highlighted key topics such as causes and prevention of dehydration, the harmful effects of caffeine and sugary drinks and the role of proper hydration in supporting physical and mental health during hot weather.

 

To ensure age-appropriate learning, the nutritional needs of children, adolescents, and adults were discussed, emphasizing hydration’s role in growth, energy maintenance, and disease prevention. Participants were informed about the risks of poor hydration, including fatigue, dizziness, heatstroke and reduced concentration. Health and Nutrition based brochures were distributed and the school management appreciated the initiative, recognizing Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur’s continued efforts to promote healthy lifestyle practices in the community.
