Punjab Food Authority Rahim yar Khan Conducted Seminar on Heat Stroke Prevention and Healthy Balanced Diet, Rahim yar Khan
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority organized an awareness seminar on Heat Stroke and Healthy Balanced Diet was conducted at Khawaja Fareed Girls College to educate students and staff about the importance of healthy eating habits, hydration, and preventive measures during extreme weather conditions on 14-05-2026. The session aimed to create awareness among approximately 250 participants regarding heat stroke prevention, balanced nutrition, and lifestyle practices that support overall health and well-being. Participants were also introduced to the role and initiatives of Punjab Food Authority in promoting food safety and nutrition awareness.
The seminar highlighted the importance of balanced diet and food groups, including macro and micronutrients, their sources, benefits, and deficiencies. Discussions focused on the role of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins in maintaining good health and energy levels. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of breakfast, healthy lunchbox ideas, avoiding junk and processed foods, maintaining proper hydration, and understanding the risks of heat stroke and dehydration. Participants were also encouraged to adopt personal hygiene practices and healthier lifestyle choices to support long-term well-being.
