Punjab Food Authority Khanewal Conducted Seminar on Dehydration and Heat Stroke Awareness During Summer Season, Khanewal

 

Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority organized an awareness seminar on Dehydration and Heat Stroke Issues in Summers and Their Control Through Suitable Diet was conducted at Dar e Arqam Madrassa tul Islam Khanewal to educate participants about the importance of proper hydration and healthy dietary practices during hot weather conditions on 18-05-2026. The session aimed to create awareness among approximately 100 participants regarding the causes, risk factors, and prevention of dehydration and heat stroke, while promoting healthier lifestyle habits for overall well-being. Participants were also introduced to the role and functions of Punjab Food Authority in promoting food safety and nutrition awareness.

The seminar highlighted key topics including causes of dehydration, suitable food choices for hydration control, food-related challenges, hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity. Discussions also focused on the consequences of overnutrition and undernutrition, including stunting and wasting, along with practical ways to address nutritional deficiencies through balanced diets and healthy lifestyle modifications. Participants were informed about food safety principles from “Farm to Fork,” CM Punjab School Nutrition Programs, and the importance of healthy diets in disease prevention for both children and adults. An interactive question-and-answer session was conducted at the end to reinforce awareness and address participants’ concerns regarding summer nutrition and health.
