Punjab Food Authority Khanewal Conducted  Awareness Seminar on Anemia and Dehydration Prevention for School Girls

 

Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority organized an awareness seminar on Anemia and Dehydration Causes in Young Girls and Their Control Through Suitable Diet was conducted at Dar e Arqam School Khanewal (Girls Section) to educate students about the importance of proper nutrition in preventing common health issues among adolescents on 12-05-2026 . The session aimed to raise awareness among approximately 50 participants regarding the causes, risk factors, and health impacts of anemia and dehydration. Students were also briefed about the role and functions of Punjab Food Authority in promoting food safety, nutrition awareness, and public health education.

The seminar highlighted key topics including causes of anemia and dehydration, dietary measures for prevention and control, food-related challenges, hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity. Discussions also focused on the consequences of both undernutrition and overnutrition, including stunting and wasting in children, along with CM Punjab School Nutrition Programs. Special emphasis was placed on food safety principles from “Farm to Fork” and the importance of a balanced diet for disease prevention in both children and adults. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment to address participants’ queries and reinforce key health and nutrition messages.
