Punjab Food Authority Gujrat Conducted Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Food Safety Session on Food Safety, Men’s Health and Balanced Diet at K&N’s Wazirabad Warehouse
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, and Deputy Director Operations Gujrat, Nutrition Section in collaboration with PFA Training School organized an Outdoor Nutrition Awareness Seminar along with a Food Safety Session at K&N’s Wazirabad Warehouse to promote healthy dietary practices and improve awareness regarding nutrition and food safety on 17-09-2026. Approximately 50 participants attended the activity. The session was delivered by Principal Ma’am Zubia and Maryam Abbas, NTO. Participants were sensitized about balanced diet, lifestyle modifications, men’s health benefits, mental health, essential nutrients, dehydration precautions, nutritional needs at different life stages, and the consequences of an unbalanced diet including weight-related issues, chronic diseases, fatigue, low energy and poor mental health.
During the activity, key aspects of Food Safety from Farm to Fork were discussed, including the role of Punjab Food Authority, food laws, regulations and standards, food safety and hygiene practices from farm to consumer, food inspection and monitoring procedures, food adulteration awareness, food labeling and nutritional information, prevention of foodborne diseases, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and the importance of ELMS training for food businesses. Practical guidance was provided to reinforce safe food handling and healthy dietary practices. The management appreciated the efforts and professional working of Punjab Food Authority in promoting nutrition awareness and food safety.
