Punjab Food Authority Toba Tek Singh Conducted Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Screening Camp under Eat Safe Kids Campaign at Deen Education School
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations District Toba Tek Singh, Training School and Nutrition Section conducted an Awareness Seminar and Screening Camp under the Eat Safe Kids Campaign at Deen Education School, 290 Chak, Toba Tek Singh on 18-09-2026. A total of 200 participants attended the activity, while 50 children were assessed. The session focused on building healthy eating habits from an early age and empowering school children to choose nutritious foods, stay active, and adopt healthier lifestyles. Participants were sensitized about the introduction and role of Punjab Food Authority and its wings, the Eat Safe Kids Campaign, food safety, and food categorization according to Punjab Educational Institution Food Regulations.
During the seminar, awareness was provided regarding the negative effects of carbonated beverages, differences between butter and margarine, milk and tea whitener, and ice cream and frozen desserts. Children were also guided on how to read and understand food labels, sustainable healthy diets, balanced diet, daily servings according to the Food Guide Pyramid, healthy eating habits, and healthy lunch box ideas. At the end of the seminar, an interactive Q&A session was conducted to address participants’ queries.
