In compliance with the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and the Addl. Director Operations Gujranwala Division, and under the supervision of the Deputy Director (Nutrition), the Nutrition Section of Punjab Food Authority Gujranwala organized a seminar on World Food Day at Govt. Mian Rehmat Ali Graduate College, Gujranwala.
The event was attended by approximately 300 participants, including students and faculty members.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the importance of food safety and the global theme of World Food Day. Key topics included the establishment and functions of PFA, food safety measures “from farm to fork,” food insecurity, hunger, malnutrition, and the consequences of over and undernutrition. The session also highlighted the CM Punjab School Nutrition Program and promoted the PFA helpline 1223 for public assistance. The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session to enhance participants’ understanding of food safety and nutrition.
