Punjab Food Authority, Faisalabad, organized a Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Camp at District Police Lines, Jhang, focusing on the role of diet and lifestyle in managing anemia and fighting fatigue. With the participation of around 72 attendees, the session highlighted the serious impact of anemia and nutritional deficiencies on health, particularly in children and women. Experts emphasized that anemia, often caused by iron deficiency, can lead to fatigue, weakness, and impaired cognitive performance, underscoring the need for early detection and dietary interventions.
The seminar stressed the importance of incorporating iron-rich foods (such as red meat, spinach, and fortified cereals) and vitamin C–rich foods (such as citrus fruits and bell peppers) to improve hemoglobin levels and enhance iron absorption. Participants were also guided on the role of regular health check-ups, balanced diets, and preventive nutrition in reducing anemia-related complications. Informative nutrition brochures were distributed, reinforcing Punjab Food Authority’s commitment to community health and building awareness for a healthier future.
