Punjab Food Authority Enlightens Suffah Model High School Students on Healthy Eating

On May 2nd, 2024, Suffah Model High School in Vehari hosted a seminar conducted by the Punjab Food Authority as part of its EAT SAFE KIDS CAMPAIGN. The seminar aimed to educate students on adopting sustainable healthy diets, promoting food safety, and cultivating nutritious eating habits.

The seminar proved to be an engaging and informative session. Presentation emphasizing the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and their impact on academic performance. Key topics covered included the establishment and functions of the Punjab Food Authority, the Safe City Model Project, food safety from farm to fork, historical incidents, and their consequences, as well as practical tips for maintaining food safety and hygiene.

Students were also informed about the Punjab Food Authority helpline number (1223) for reporting any food safety concerns. The seminar highlighted the benefits of a sustainable healthy diet, including improved concentration and overall well-being, while also addressing the detrimental effects of unhealthy eating habits on academic learning.

Practical guidance was provided on packing healthy lunch boxes and making lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
