Punjab Food Authority DG Khan Conducted Awareness Seminar on Heat Stroke and Dehydration Prevention, DG Khan
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority organized a nutritional awareness seminar was organized in Dera Ghazi Khan for Rescue 1122 staff to educate participants about heat stroke, dehydration prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices during extreme weather conditions on 25-05-2026. The session highlighted the importance of adequate hydration, balanced diet, and the use of safe fluids including ORS in case of dehydration. Participants were also guided on avoiding direct sun exposure, maintaining proper ventilation, and adopting preventive measures to reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses.
The seminar further emphasized the importance of seasonal fruits, water-rich foods, hygiene, and safe food practices during hot weather to maintain overall health and energy levels. Key points also included awareness about causes, symptoms, and first aid management of heat stroke, along with practical emergency response guidance. The interactive session encouraged participants to actively engage and adopt healthier habits to ensure safety and well-being during extreme summer conditions.
