Punjab Food Authority Dera Ghazi Khan Conducted Nutrition Screening and Awareness Camp for Public Health Promotion
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, Nutrition Section conducted a Nutrition Screening Camp at Ghazi University to promote public health, assess the nutritional status of visitors, and raise awareness about balanced dietary practices and healthy lifestyles. Approximately 1,200 visitors attended the activity, while around 1,000 individuals benefited from nutrition screening and counseling services on 21-07-2026. Comprehensive nutritional assessments were carried out to evaluate participants’ nutritional status, and one-on-one dietary counseling was provided to address individual nutrition-related concerns and encourage healthier eating habits.
The camp further focused on educating participants about balanced nutrition, daily nutritional requirements, preventive health measures, lifestyle modification, food safety, and personal hygiene. Practical guidance was provided to support informed food choices and the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices for long-term well-being. Informational nutrition awareness brochures were distributed among participants to reinforce key health messages and promote sustained nutrition awareness within the community.
