Punjab Food Authority Bahawalpur Conducted Nutrition Screening Camp and Awareness Seminar on Healthy Youth, Balanced Nutrition, and Healthy Lifestyle
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, and the Deputy Director Operations, Bahawalpur, the Nutrition Section conducted a Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Nutrition Screening Camp at Mehran Institute of Allied Health Sciences to promote healthy eating habits, balanced nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices among young adults on 30-07-2026. More than 100 students participated in the awareness session, while approximately 50 individuals benefited from nutrition screening, assessment, and dietary counseling services. The seminar introduced participants to the role of the Punjab Food Authority and the Nutrition Section and highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy weight management, essential vitamins and minerals, and the prevention and management of vitamin D deficiency.
The session further emphasized healthy dietary and lifestyle management, hepatitis awareness and nutritional management, smart snacking, and practical healthy lifestyle tips to support long-term health and well-being. During the nutrition screening camp, participants received individualized nutrition assessment and one-on-one dietary counseling based on their nutritional needs. Nutrition awareness brochures were distributed among the students to reinforce key health messages. The Director and Principal of the institute appreciated the efforts of the Punjab Food Authority and presented certificates of appreciation to the Nutrition Team in recognition of their contribution to promoting nutrition awareness and public health.
