Punjab Food Authority Dera Ghazi Khan Conducted Nutrition Awareness Seminar on Healthy Diet, Healthy Lifestyle, and the Harmful Effects of Smoking Among College Students
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, Nutrition Section conducted a Nutrition Awareness Seminar at Superior Group of Colleges (Boys Campus) to promote the importance of healthy nutrition, healthy lifestyle practices, and smoking prevention among young adults on 30-07-2026. Approximately 650 students participated in the activity. The seminar highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition in supporting learning, physical growth, overall health, and academic performance. Participants were also provided with practical guidance on adopting healthy dietary habits and making informed food choices to maintain long-term health and well-being.
The session further emphasized the harmful effects of cigarette smoking, including its impact on lung health, breathing capacity, blood pressure, and the increased risk of lung cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Students were encouraged to avoid tobacco use and adopt healthy lifestyle practices to improve their physical fitness and overall quality of life. The seminar concluded by motivating participants to make healthy choices that contribute to a stronger, healthier, and more productive future.
