Punjab Food Authority Bahawalpur Conducted Nutrition Awareness & Wellness Program for Special Children
Under the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director (Operations), Nutrition Section Punjab Food Authority, Bahawalpur organized a Nutrition Awareness & Welfare Program at the Child Protection Unit and Social Welfare Bureau on dated 13-01-2026 . The program focused on promoting healthy eating habits for children with special needs, highlighting that every child is special and deserves good nutrition.
The session emphasized practical nutrition and lifestyle habits, including the importance of healthy and nutritious plates with fruits, making healthy choices, following the My Plate concept, incorporating physical activity and exercise, staying hydrated, and choosing healthy snacks. The program aimed to raise awareness in the community that children with special needs are entitled to equal attention, love and quality nutrition, empowering caregivers and society to prioritize their well-being.
