A free nutritional screening camp at the Government Girls Latif High School in Toba Tek Singh

The Punjab Food Authority in Toba Tek Singh organized an awareness seminar and a free nutritional screening camp on February 20, 2024, under the Safe Food City Project. This event, held in collaboration with the Youth Ambassador program at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad Sub Campus Toba Tek Singh, took place at the Government Girls Latif High School in Toba Tek Singh during a food festival.

Human Nutrition & Dietetics Discipline students from UAF Sub Campus Toba Tek Singh, serving as youth ambassadors, actively participated in the nutritional screening camps.
Parents were educated about child health, emphasizing the importance of consuming healthy and hygienic food.
The event offered customized diet plans and counseling to attendees, contributing to increased awareness.
Valuable insights were gained by the students who participated in the event.

The number of Seminar Participants were 70 whereas, Youth Ambassadors were 16 and during the camp 73 participants received nutritional counseling. Anthropometric measurements, including weight, height, Body Mass Index, Body fat percentage and visceral fat percentage were conducted. One-on-one counseling, ICE material distribution and personalized diet planning were also provided.

The initiative aimed to promote safe food practices and enhance nutritional awareness within the community.
