The Punjab Food Authority Training School Sahiwal successfully conducted ELMS Training for the officers and officials of the Punjab Police Department Sahiwal. The training focused on enhancing food safety knowledge and promoting best practices to ensure public health. Key discussions included the role of Punjab Food Authority and its regulations, importance of personal hygiene and proper handwashing, prevention of cross-contamination, understanding food hazards and maintaining food within safe temperature zones.
Participants were also guided on proper food handling and storage techniques, prevention of foodborne illnesses such as food poisoning and the significance of kitchen sanitation, including cleaning and disinfection of equipment. The session further highlighted different types of food hazards physical, chemical, biological and allergens while addressing the queries of participants. The Punjab Police Department appreciated this valuable initiative and acknowledged the continuous efforts of Punjab Food Authority in strengthening food safety standards.
