Nutrition Section in Gujrat conducted a Nutrition Awareness Seminar at KIPS College Gujrat for the SAFE FOOD CITY PROJECT on October 24, 2023. The seminar had approximately 75 participants , including the college management, faculty members, and students.
The topics discussed during the seminar included an introduction to the Punjab Food Authority and its wings, an introduction to the Safe Food City Project, sustainable healthy diet, food allowed and not allowed, awareness about how to read and understand food labels, and awareness about a balanced diet.
A Q&A session was conducted at the end of the seminar. PFA Ambassadors Sachs were worn and distributed among selected PFA Ambassadors, and nutrition-based brochures were distributed among the audience. The efforts and work of PFA were appreciated by the Director and Principal of the campus, who also requested for further seminars.
