D G Khan, conducted a one-day Awareness Seminar at Mir Chakar Rind Khan University, D G Khan. The seminar focused on the importance of water and a healthy diet for adults. This initiative was carried out under the Safe Food City Project on October 24, 2023. The seminar had approximately 380 participants.
Water and a healthy diet are essential for maintaining good health in adults. Water plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including digestion, nutrient absorption, temperature regulation, and waste removal.
A healthy diet for adults should include a balance of macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, and fats) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). It should consist of a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Limiting the intake of processed foods, sugary beverages, and excessive salt is also important.
