Punjab Food Authority Layyah Conducts World Heart Day Awareness Session

Punjab Food Authority Layyah, under the directions of the competent authority, organized an Awareness Session on World Heart Day at The Scholar School (Female Wing) with the participation of approximately 35 students. The session aimed to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), their prevalence, and the importance of prevention through healthy lifestyle practices. Students were introduced to the mission, vision, and goals of Punjab Food Authority and were educated on adopting healthy eating habits, avoiding harmful foods and understanding the role of physical activity in maintaining heart health.

The program emphasized lifestyle management and the long term benefits of balanced nutrition for both physical and cognitive development. Information about the PFA Nutritional Clinic was also shared with the participants, offering them a platform for further dietary guidance. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A and both staff and students appreciated Punjab Food Authority’s continuous efforts in promoting public health and nutrition awareness.
