Punjab Food Authority Lahore Conducted Nutrition Screening Camp for Young Adults
Upon the directions of the directors general Punjab food authority, Nutrition section was conducted a nutrition screening camp at Virtue Patch (A Software House), Lahore, to assess the nutritional status and dietary habits of individuals aged 21–35 years on 07-09-2026. A total of 13 participants were screened. The camp aimed to identify common nutrition-related concerns and provide basic nutrition education to promote healthier eating habits and overall well-being.
During the activity, participants were sensitized about the importance of a healthy and balanced diet, essential nutrients, adequate hydration, and healthy eating habits. Excessive fast-food consumption, including foods high in unhealthy fats, salt, and added sugars, was identified as a major dietary concern. Low vegetable intake and its possible impact on the intake of fiber, vitamins, and minerals were also highlighted. Participants were encouraged to reduce fast-food consumption, increase vegetable and nutrient-rich food intake, and adopt healthier dietary choices to support healthy growth, energy, immunity, and overall well-being.
