Punjab Food Authority Lahore Conducted Nutrition Screening Camp for Children, Caregivers, and Community Members
Upon the directions of the Competent Authority, the Nutrition Section, Punjab Food Authority, Lahore conducted a Nutrition Screening Camp at Balqees Edhi Home to assess the nutritional status of children, their parents/caregivers, and other individuals present at the facility on 25-08-2026. A total of approximately 30 participants benefited from the activity. The camp aimed to identify diet-related health concerns, provide basic nutritional guidance, and promote awareness regarding balanced and healthy eating habits.
During the camp, participants underwent nutritional assessment, including measurement of height, weight, and other relevant growth indicators. Individual diet histories were taken to understand dietary patterns and nutritional needs, followed by one-on-one nutrition counseling and practical guidance on healthier food choices. Informative nutrition materials were also distributed to reinforce key messages regarding balanced nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices. Hygiene standards at Balqees Edhi Home were observed to be excellent, reflecting a healthy and supportive environment for the residents.
