Punjab Food Authority Lahore Conducted Nutrition screening and awareness camp for Child Health, Lahore
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, Nutrition Section conducted a Nutrition Assessment Camp at a children’s orphanage to assess the nutritional status of children, identify diet-related health concerns, and promote awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition for healthy growth and development on 23-06-2026. A total of 38 participants attended the camp. Comprehensive nutritional assessments were carried out, including the measurement of height, weight, and other growth indicators to evaluate the overall nutritional status of the children.
During the activity, detailed dietary histories were obtained to better understand individual eating habits and nutritional needs. Participants received one-on-one nutrition counseling, where practical dietary guidance and healthy eating recommendations were provided to encourage improved nutritional practices. Informational nutrition awareness materials were also distributed to reinforce key health messages and promote the adoption of balanced dietary habits for long-term health and well-being.
