Punjab Food Authority Lahore Conducted Nutrition Awareness & Screening Camps Held in Connection with National Minorities Day

In connection with National Minorities Day, observed on 11 August, Nutrition Section conducted nutrition awareness and screening camps at Allama Paul Higher Secondary School and Consuming Fire Church to promote healthy eating practices and assess the nutritional well being of community members on 11-08-2026. The camps aimed to identify diet related health concerns, provide personalized nutritional guidance and encourage healthier lifestyle choices among minority communities.

During the camps, participants underwent height, weight and other nutritional assessments, along with individual dietary history evaluations and one on one nutrition counseling. Informative nutrition materials were also distributed to strengthen awareness about balanced diets, healthy food choices and the importance of adequate nutrition. A total of 78 participants benefited from the two camps, including 44 participants at Allama Paul Higher Secondary School and 34 participants at Consuming Fire Church. The initiative reflects the Nutrition Section’s commitment to extending nutrition education and preventive health services to diverse communities across Punjab.
