Under the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority, Additional Director Operations Gujranwala Division, and the supervision of Deputy Director (Nutrition), Nutrition Section, Punjab Food Authority Gujranwala conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar at Government Associate College for Women, Ghakhar, Gujranwala. The session, attended by 100 participants, aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of hygiene, healthy eating habits, and nutrition for disease prevention and overall well-being.
The seminar covered key topics including the establishment and functions of PFA, food safety from farm to fork, breast cancer warning signs, self-examination techniques and preventive nutrition. Participants were also guided on physical activity, lifestyle modification and personal hygiene. A Q&A session was held to address students’ queries, emphasizing the importance of early detection and the role of balanced nutrition in maintaining long-term health.
