Punjab Food Authority Faisalabad Conducted Awareness Session for Parents of Thalassemia Affected Children at Sundas Foundation
On the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and under the supervision of the Additional Director Punjab Food Authority Faisalabad Division, the Nutrition Team of Punjab Food Authority Faisalabad visited Sundas Foundation to conduct a special awareness session for the parents of children affected by thalassemia on 24-02-2026 . The session aimed to provide guidance regarding proper nutrition and health management for children suffering from thalassemia. A total of 27 participants attended the session and actively engaged in the discussion.
During the session, parents were provided nutrition guidance to support better growth and help improve the health condition of children affected by thalassemia. The team also reviewed the blood bank facilities at Sundas Foundation and appreciated the organization’s efforts in supporting patients. As part of the initiative, Punjab Food Authority distributed healthy food packages among the participants and also made a humanitarian cash donation of PKR 30,000 to support the welfare services of Sundas Foundation. The activity aimed to promote nutrition awareness and extend support to children living with thalassemia.
