Punjab Food Authority DG Khan Conducted Seminar on Healthy Eating Habits and Nutrition Awareness, DG Khan

 

Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority organized an awareness seminar on Healthy Eating Habits was conducted at Dera Model Girls High School DG Cement Factory and Bloomfield School Branch DG Cement Factory to educate students and staff about the importance of healthy dietary practices for overall well-being on 8-04-2026. The session aimed to create awareness regarding balanced nutrition, food safety, and healthy lifestyle choices among approximately 380 students and 40 staff members. Participants were introduced to the role and various wings of Punjab Food Authority, along with the significance of food safety, hygiene, and the purpose of nutrition awareness seminars in promoting public health.

The seminar covered the importance of a balanced diet and food groups, highlighting macro and micronutrients, their sources, health benefits, and deficiencies. Discussions emphasized the nutritional value of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, along with practical guidance on healthy breakfast and lunchbox ideas for students. Special focus was placed on avoiding junk and processed foods, maintaining adequate water intake, and practicing personal hygiene for better health outcomes. The session provided valuable awareness and practical dietary guidance to encourage healthier eating habits and lifestyle choices among participants.
