Punjab Food Authority Dera Ghazi Khan Conducted Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Interactive Health & Dietary Screening Camp at Allied School
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, and Deputy Director Operations Dera Ghazi Khan, Nutrition Section organized a Nutrition Awareness Seminar along with an Interactive Health and Dietary Screening Camp at Allied School to promote healthy dietary practices and improve nutritional awareness among school children on 15-09-2026. Approximately 200 participants attended the activity, while around 40 children received screening and counselling services.
During the activity, children received interactive health and dietary screening to assess their nutritional status and dietary patterns. Nutritional counselling and guidance were provided regarding healthy eating habits and the importance of nutrient-dense foods. Participants were sensitized about balanced diet, essential vitamins and minerals, healthy food choices, proper hygiene, and nutritious lunchbox options. Practical guidance was also provided on replacing unhealthy processed foods with nutritious alternatives. A total of 100 educational brochures were distributed to reinforce key nutrition messages and encourage healthy lifestyle practices.
