Punjab Food Authority Bhakkar Conducted Nutrition screening camp and Awareness Seminar on Balanced Diet and Healthy Lifestyle
Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, Nutrition Section conducted a Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Nutrition Assessment Camp at a college of nursing and health sciences to promote public health, assess the nutritional status of participants, and educate them about balanced dietary practices and healthy lifestyles on 23-07-2026. Around 80 participants attended the activity. The seminar highlighted the importance of nutrition in daily life, the concept of MyPlate, the prevalence and consequences of malnutrition, and the role of a balanced diet in maintaining overall health and well-being. Participants were also educated about daily nutritional requirements and the importance of making informed food choices.
The activity further included nutrition assessment and one-on-one dietary counseling to address individual nutritional concerns and encourage healthier eating habits. Participants received practical guidance on preventive health, lifestyle modifications, food safety, and personal hygiene to support long-term well-being. Informational nutrition awareness brochures were distributed to reinforce key messages and promote the adoption of balanced dietary habits and healthy lifestyle practices.
