Punjab Food Authority Bahawalpur Conducted Nutrition Awareness Seminar & Assessment Camp at Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur
Under the directions of the Director General of the Punjab Food Authority and the Deputy Director Operations Bahawalpur, Nutrition Section conducted a comprehensive Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Assessment Camp at Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur on 21-04-2026. The session aimed to promote healthy dietary practices, cognitive behavior and brain health among students, with active participation from approximately 200 students and faculty members. Key topics included the purpose and role of the Punjab Food Authority’s Nutrition Section, the importance of a balanced diet and the prevention of malnutrition. Special emphasis was placed on the link between nutrition and brain function, highlighting how proper dietary choices enhance memory, focus and learning ability.
The seminar also addressed the role of brain-boosting foods such as nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, and dairy, while discussing the negative impact of junk food and excessive sugar on concentration and mood. Participants were guided on how healthy eating habits can improve academic performance and positively influence cognitive behavior and emotional well-being. The Assessment Camp included BMI screening, general health evaluations, and personalized dietary guidance for both students and faculty. Educational brochures were distributed to raise awareness about adopting a healthy lifestyle and making informed nutritional choices.
