Punjab Food Authority, Toba Tek Singh, organized a Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Camp, focusing on the importance of balanced nutrition and food safety. The session highlighted critical topics including the ELMS system, food safety hazards during the monsoon season and the role of food groups in supporting children’s academic and mental well-being. Experts emphasized how a balanced diet contributes to cognitive development, improved focus, memory and overall academic performance, while also reducing the risk of obesity and related health issues.
With around 40 participants, the seminar placed special emphasis on preparing nutritious lunch boxes enriched with whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, while discouraging the use of processed foods and sugary snacks. Informative nutrition-based brochures were distributed among attendees to reinforce the adoption of healthy eating habits. This initiative reflects PFA’s ongoing commitment to equipping future generations and healthcare professionals with knowledge and practices that promote lifelong health, wellness and success.
