Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Assessment Camp at Fatima Jinnah College, Faisalabad

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Faisalabad, on the directions of the Director General and Deputy Director of Operations, organized a Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Nutrition Assessment Camp on September 2, 2024. This event was held in collaboration with Fatima Jinnah College (Girls Section), and was aimed to highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through informed food choices and regular exercise. The attendees were introduced to PFA and its various wings, emphasizing the significance of food safety, proper food categorization, and accurate food labeling. Additionally, it covered essential topics such as balanced diet principles, water intake, and the specific nutritional requirements of girls, with a focus on promoting physical and mental well-being.

As part of the event, nutrition-based brochures were distributed to all participants, offering additional resources for continued learning. The principal of Fatima Jinnah College expressed appreciation for PFA’s efforts and its impactful work in promoting public health. The seminar saw the participation of 120 students, while the Nutrition Assessment Camp provided personalized assessments to 35 attendees, thereby enhancing the practical relevance of the seminar’s teachings.
