No Compromise on Food Safety: Statewide Operations Continue

Punjab Food Authority Strengthens Food Safety Enforcement Across Punjab

Under the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority (PFA), food safety teams continued inspection operations across various districts of Punjab to ensure the availability of safe and hygienic food.

During the operations, PFA teams inspected meat shops, dairy outlets, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, food production units, and food transport vehicles. Large quantities of unsafe and substandard food, including unhygienic meat, were discarded, while legal action and heavy fines were imposed on violators. Dairy Safety Teams also checked milk shops and supply vehicles to prevent milk adulteration and ensure the supply of safe milk.

The Punjab Food Authority remains committed to protecting public health through regular inspections and strict enforcement of food safety laws.
