Punjab Food Authority Training School Lahore Celebrates World Food Safety Day in Collaboration with COTHM

 

The Punjab Food Authority Training School, Lahore, observed World Food Safety Day in collaboration with the College of Tourism & Hotel Management [COTHM] under the global theme “From Burden to Solutions: Safe Food Everywhere.”

The event aimed to raise awareness on the importance of food safety and encourage practical solutions to reduce foodborne risks across the food chain.

Ms. Surraya Farooq, Principal Officer, Punjab Food Authority Training School, and Ms. Jaweria Jabeen, Master Trainer, Punjab Food Authority, attended the ceremony as Guests of Honor. Both delivered lectures on food safety standards, best practices, and the role of the Punjab Food Authority in ensuring safe and hygienic food for the public.

In their remarks, they appreciated PFA initiatives and emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between academia and regulatory bodies to strengthen food safety culture in Punjab.

The Punjab Food Authority Training School reaffirmed its commitment to capacity building and public awareness to achieve the goal of safe food for everyone.
