Under the directions of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and the supervision of the Deputy Director Operations Rajanpur, Nutrition Section, Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur successfully organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar and Health Screening Camp at Government Graduate College for Women, Rajanpur to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025. The event witnessed the active participation of over 600 female students, faculty members, and staff. It aimed to educate women on breast cancer prevention, early detection, and the role of healthy lifestyle and balanced nutrition in reducing cancer risk.
The activities included a comprehensive Health Screening Camp for blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI and vitals assessment, along with an engaging awareness session highlighting warning signs, preventive measures and self-examination techniques. Informative brochures were distributed among participants and a Pink Ribbon Awareness Segment was held to show solidarity with breast cancer survivors. The college administration appreciated the efforts of Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur for promoting women’s health, preventive nutrition and public well-being under the slogan“Early Detection Saves Lives, Awareness is the First Step to Prevention.”
