Under the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, and Deputy Director PFA Khanewal, the Nutrition Section, Punjab Food Authority Khanewal, organized an Awareness Seminar at Superior College (Girls Campus), Kabirwala, in connection with October Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2025. Around 100 participants attended the session aimed at enhancing awareness regarding breast cancer prevention, the importance of a nutritious diet, and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle among young students.
The session highlighted key topics including the establishment and functions of Punjab Food Authority, healthy meal ideas for girls, balanced diet planning, causes and prevention of breast cancer, and personal hygiene practices. Participants were also guided on good and bad food choices, proper handwashing techniques, and the use of the PFA helpline (1223) for public health queries. A Q&A session at the end encouraged active participation and the audience appreciated the efforts of Punjab Food Authority for promoting women’s health and preventive awareness.
