Punjab Food Authority Lahore Conducted Nutritional Assessment and Awareness Camp at Dar-ul-Tanzeem Orphanage

Upon the directions of the Director General, Punjab Food Authority, Nutrition Section conducted a Nutritional Assessment and Awareness Camp at Dar-ul-Tanzeem Orphanage, Lahore, to assess the nutritional status of children, identify diet-related health concerns, and promote awareness regarding balanced and healthy eating habits on 28-09-2026. A total of 30 participants attended the activity. The camp focused on assessing the growth and nutritional status of children through measurement of height, weight, and other relevant growth indicators. Individual diet histories were also taken to understand the dietary patterns and identify possible nutritional concerns among the children.

During the activity, one-on-one nutrition counselling was provided to guide children regarding balanced diet, healthy eating habits, nutrient-rich food choices, and the importance of maintaining healthy dietary practices. Participants were also sensitized about the importance of essential nutrients and adopting healthier food choices in their daily routine. Informative nutrition materials were distributed to reinforce key nutrition messages and encourage healthy lifestyle practices. The activity aimed to promote early identification of nutrition-related concerns and support healthier growth and development among children.
