Punjab Food Authority Lahore Conducted Capacity Building of Nutrition Officers Through Evidence-Based Refresher Training
Under the umbrella of the Planning & Coordination Wing, PFA Training School and Nutrition Section, Punjab Food Authority jointly conducted a One-Day Refresher Training on Contemporary Nutrition Practice, Evidence-Based Clinical Nutrition & Advanced Nutrition Assessment for Nutrition Section employees at the Punjab Food Authority Training School, Shapur Kanjra . The training was designed to strengthen the professional knowledge and practical competencies of nutrition officers by equipping them with the latest evidence-based approaches, advanced assessment techniques, and emerging trends in public health nutrition.
The comprehensive training featured expert led sessions on Modern Public Health Nutrition, Food and Drug Interaction, Bridging Food Safety & Nutrition, Advanced Nutrition Assessment using Hi-Tech Tools and Advanced Child Nutrition. Participants also took part in a hands-on practical workshop on body composition assessment and report interpretation, followed by a post-training assessment to evaluate learning outcomes. The refresher training reaffirmed Punjab Food Authority’s commitment to continuous professional development, capacity building and the promotion of high-quality nutrition services across Punjab.
