The Punjab Food Authority, in collaboration with the management of Emporium Mall, conducted a Nutrition Awareness Camp themed “Optimal Nutrition and its Effects on Overall Well-being.” This event, themed around Eid ul Adha, aimed to enhance the nutritional knowledge of the general public and promote healthier lifestyle choices.
The camp provided various facilities, including general dietary guidelines, customized diet plans, and assessment tools such as BMI measurements, body fat percentage analysis, and visceral fat evaluations. Attendees also had access to Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for managing conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and overweight.
On Day 1, the camp offered a total of 62 nutritional counseling sessions and distributed 175 brochures. The key issues addressed were primarily linked to a lack of physical activity, poor lifestyle choices, inadequate sleep, and improper meal scheduling. The Punjab Food Authority focused on educating participants about the importance of nutritious food and offered practical tips to help them modify unhealthy eating habits.
Day 2 offered 54 nutritional screenings and a distribution of 360 brochures. The focus remained on empowering individuals with the knowledge necessary to make informed dietary decisions, ultimately contributing to improved health and well-being within the community.
