The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Faisalabad, under the guidance of Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations Faisalabad, organized a Nutrition Awareness Seminar and Screening Camp at the Government College for Women. The event, attended by 300 participants, aimed to raise awareness about Iron Deficiency Anemia and Its Relation to Our Habits. With 55 participants receiving personalized consultations, the session highlighted the causes of iron deficiency, including poor dietary intake and habits like excessive tea consumption, which inhibits iron absorption. The seminar stressed the importance of consuming iron-rich foods and enhancing vitamin C intake to improve iron absorption.
The seminar provided practical guidance on preventing and managing iron deficiency anemia, encouraging participants to adopt healthier dietary habits. Informative brochures were distributed, and the principal of the college commended the initiative, recognizing the valuable efforts of PFA Faisalabad.
