Lahore, August 29, 2019: A delegation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Authority on Thursday visited the Punjab Food Authority Headquarter to review the law, strategy and mechanism of the authority for counterfeiting the food-adulteration, addressing food business operators (FBOs) and food-related issues.
The delegation was led by KPK Food Authority Director General Suhail Khan and they met with PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman. The heads of both authorities have shared their experiences, while Muhammad Usman has offered KPK Food Authority to assist them with all possible guidance regarding food safety. They have discussed in detail on PFA Laws, Operations, Laboratory Analysis, Awareness Programs and Training Schools.
On that accession, the authority has briefed the delegation about PFA Models like its management structure, administrative affairs and progress of PFA. Further, the participants informed about the technical aspects and operational strategy of PFA for FBOs, adulterators and unhygienic food points.
KPK Food Authority DG Sohail Khan said that it was a pleasure to see the Punjab Food Authority as a complete and well-organized organization. At this moment, he voiced his feelings in the following words, “Punjab Food Authority is a role model for all provinces.”
Muhammad Usman, Director General, Punjab Food Authority, said that PFA is providing all possible support to Pakistan’s food authorities including Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Balochistan, and KPK by following the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
