The Nutrition Section of Punjab Food Authority recently organized a nutrition awareness and screening camp at Kafalat Ghar Orphanage, Lahore, under the theme “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind.”

The camp’s primary objective was to educate children and staff about the significance of nutrition and healthy eating habits in their daily lives. Participants were also guided on dietary modifications tailored to their individual health statuses. In addition to this, the camp covered crucial aspects of food safety protocols and offered detailed menu planning strategies to support the well-being of the children.

Activities during the camp included comprehensive anthropometric measurements, such as weight, height, body mass index, and fat analysis, alongside assessments of dietary history using the 24-hour recall method and food frequency questionnaires. Participants also received one-on-one counseling sessions and were provided with awareness literature brochures. A total of 23 children benefited from the camp, gaining valuable knowledge and tools to lead healthier lives.
