A cultural festival, “Lahore Lahore Ay,” held at Jillani Park

The cultural extravaganza Lahore Lahore Ay held at Jillani Park Lahore from October 30th to November 7th, 2023. Inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, In order to make this festival unique, Nutrition Team of Punjab Food Authority has displayed the stalls for general public. These stalls offered Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Screening, and Nutrition Counselling, along with Healthy Recipe Ideas for a balanced lifestyle.

Over the 9-day campaign, the Nutrition team screened approximately 721 individuals, showcasing a total of 34 therapeutic recipes. The campaign’s focal point was to reach a maximum audience, fostering awareness about lifestyle modifications and delivering healthy food preparation ideas tailored to specific diseases.

1. Lifestyle Modifications :
Emphasis on regular physical activity and exercise routines.
Encouraging stress management techniques such as mindfulness and meditation.
Promoting adequate sleep for overall well-being.

2. Healthy Food Preparation Ideas :
Crafting balanced meals with a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
Providing cooking tips to reduce added sugars and unhealthy fats.
Offering alternatives for dietary preferences, accommodating different cultural tastes.

3. Specific Diseases :
Tailoring nutritional advice for conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension.
Addressing dietary considerations for individuals with allergies or intolerances.
Offering guidance on nutrition for specific age groups, such as children, adults, and seniors.
