The Punjab Food Authority’s Nutrition Section organized a Nutrition Awareness and Screening Camp at Re-shape Fitness Gym, focusing on promoting healthy diet and physical activity among females. The camp, held on April 18, 2024, aimed to empower participants with knowledge on maintaining a balanced diet, optimizing nutrition for workouts, and dispelling common nutritional myths. Twelve individuals actively participated in the camp.
During the event, various activities were conducted to achieve these goals. Anthropometric measurements, including weight, height, body mass index (BMI), and fat analysis, were performed to assess participants’ physical health. Dietary history was evaluated using the 24-hour recall method and food frequency questionnaire to understand participants’ eating habits. Additionally, one-on-one dietary counseling sessions were provided to offer personalized advice and guidance.
To further disseminate information, awareness literature in the form of brochures was distributed among attendees. These materials aimed to reinforce key messages about healthy eating and physical activity.
