In observance of World Diabetes Day, the Nutrition Section of the Punjab Food Authority, in collaboration with D.G. Khan Medical College and Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital, organized a series of awareness activities aimed at educating the public on the dietary management of diabetes. A nutrition awareness seminar was held for hospital patients, with approximately 70 participants receiving valuable insights on diabetes management. A screening camp and nutrition exhibition stall were set up at D.G. Khan Medical College, where food guidelines, superfoods, and different food groups were introduced to doctors, staff, patients, and visitors. The nutrition team conducted screenings and counseling for around 120 individuals.

The efforts of the nutrition team were highly appreciated by the Medical Superintendent of Teaching Hospital, the Principal of Ghazi Medical College, the Deputy Director of Operations DGK, and the Head of the Diabetic Ward, who commended the initiative’s impact on the local community.
