Summer Dehydration & Food Safety Awareness Seminar PFA Rajanpur

Under the guidance of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations Rajanpur, the Nutrition Section PFA Rajanpur organized a Health Screening Camp and Nutrition Awareness Seminar at Government Primary School New Kotla Naseer. The session focused on the topic “What is Food Poisoning? Common Causes” and covered critical summer-related nutrition concerns. Key topics included the role of Punjab Food Authority, causes and prevention of dehydration, and the negative impact of sugary and caffeinated drinks. Participants also learned about the benefits of proper hydration and the importance of essential nutrients during hot weather.

Special emphasis was given to nutritional needs across various life stages from children to adults highlighting how hydration supports growth, energy, and disease prevention. The risks of poor hydration, such as fatigue, heatstroke, and mental fog, were also addressed. A total of 32 participants attended the seminar. Nutrition brochures were distributed, and the school management praised the efforts of Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur for promoting public health through continuous educational outreach.
