Summer Awareness Drive: Dispelling Misconceptions About Food Poisoning

The Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur, under the guidance of the Director General Punjab Food Authority and Deputy Director Operations Rajanpur, conducted a Health Screening Camp and Nutrition Awareness Seminar at Government Boys High School Kotla Essan as part of the Summer Dehydration Awareness Campaign. The session focused on “Myth-Busting: Common Misconceptions About Food Poisoning” and emphasized the vital role of proper hydration and balanced nutrition during hot weather. Key topics included understanding dehydration, the negative impact of caffeine and sugary drinks on fluid balance, and the importance of essential nutrients across different life stages from childhood growth to adult disease prevention.

The event highlighted the health risks associated with poor hydration, including fatigue, dizziness, heatstroke, and reduced concentration. Students received nutrition focused brochures, equipping them with practical guidance for maintaining health and energy during summer months. The school management commended the initiative, recognizing the continuous efforts of the Punjab Food Authority Rajanpur to raise awareness, dispel misconceptions, and promote a healthier lifestyle among the youth.
