Punjab Food Authority Gujrat Conducts Awareness Seminar on Food Safety, Dehydration, and Nutrition

In compliance with the directions of the Director General and Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Gujrat, an awareness seminar was successfully conducted at PGC University of Central Punjab, Gujrat Campus. The event was attended by more than 300 participants, including students, faculty members, and members of the local community.

The seminar aimed to enhance public awareness regarding food safety, dehydration prevention, and nutrition related challenges. Key sessions included an introduction to the Punjab Food Authority’s mission, vision, and goals, as well as detailed discussions on dehydration symptoms, causes, and healthy hydration options. Participants were also educated about the importance of a balanced diet, its role in disease prevention, and strategies for achieving a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

Additional highlights featured an overview of the PFA Nutritional Clinic, lifestyle modification guidelines, the Punjab Food Authority helpline (1223), essential food safety principles “from farm to fork,” and a practical guide to the benefits of healthy eating. The management of PGC Gujrat Campus expressed formal appreciation for this initiative, recognizing its significance in promoting public health and nutrition awareness.
