Promoting Healthy Futures: Nutrition Screening Camp at GHS Model Town, Lahore

Nutrition Section of the Punjab Food Authority conducted a nutrition screening camp and nutrition awareness seminar at GHS Model Town, focusing on students from classes 4 and 5.

A total of 81 students were assessed for their nutritional status through height and weight measurements along with general health evaluations. The primary objective was to detect early signs of nutritional deficiencies and to create awareness about the importance of balanced diets and healthy eating habits among young learners.

In addition to the screenings, students were given informative sessions on the significance of staying hydrated, particularly in hot weather. They were encouraged to consume clean water regularly to prevent dehydration, which can negatively impact their concentration, energy levels, and overall well-being. Such proactive initiatives play a key role in enhancing the health and academic performance of school-aged children through timely nutritional support and education.
